A good business and industrial base is essential for any town’s continued growth and stability. Established industries in wood products and textiles have been a mainstay in the community for a number of years. Troy actively pursues new industry and takes pride in its progressive-minded approach regarding businesses in Town. In January 1999, the Town acquired land to be used as a Business Park called the Troy Business Center and adopted an Economic Development Incentive Policy as part of efforts to encourage new and expanding business ventures.
