Troyfest - June/July

This is the annual Independence Day Celebration for the Town of Troy that is held each year on the Saturday before July 4th.  The celebration kicks off with a parade downtown, various vendors, a children's area and music.  The evening events move to the Lowe Warner Park for live entertainment and fireworks!
 

Annual "Big Foot" Barbecue Cook-Off

This event is Saturday, November 5th & is a Rib, Brisket and Pork cookoff held in Downtown Troy! It is part of the all-day festival: Salute to Veterans & 6th Annual Brew, Que, & Music Revue.
Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in each category and then a Grand Champion!  There is also a people's choice award for the public to purchase Sampler Tickets and then vote for their favorite! Live music will be performed at the TownStage during the day and into the evening.  Come out and enjoy the fun, food, music and fellowship!  For information on the competition, call Town Hall at 910-572-3661. https://troy.nc.us/2228/Annual-Brew-Que-Music-Revue
  
Trunk or Treat 
A safe and fun event for children to "trick or treat" with local organizations and the business in and around the Town of Troy.  The event will take place in Downtown Troy on Halloween Monday, October 31st. This year we will have a walk-through event held in the parking lot of the TownStage Amphitheater in Capel Centennial Park. There will be a costume contest held at Town Stage starting at 6:00 PM, the contest will have multiple age groups for both children and adults with awards provided by Downtown Antiques and Things. Trunk or Treat begins at 5:30 PM and ends at 7:30 PM.   
         
Annual Veteran's Day Celebration - November
This event is always held the Saturday before Veteran's Day.  It begins with a Veterans Breakfast held at the Troy/Montgomery Senior Center in Troy.  The parade begins at 11:00 AM.  Please come out to help support our veterans! This year the Salute to Veterans will include the annual Brew, Que, & Music Review, with a street fair, kid's zone, BBQ contest, and live music at town stage. Annual Holiday Tree Lighting - November

This event is always held the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day beginning at 5:30 PM.  All the Crepe Myrtles and Holly trees along North and East Main Street are strung with lights and pole lights are installed on South and West Main Streets to make Troy a "Christmas Town".  Hot Chocolate and Cookies are provided by the Town of Troy Board of Commissioners and door prizes are provided by area businesses.  Santa Claus makes an appearance for the children and leads the countdown to turn on the lights!
 

Christmas Fellowship Dinner - December

"No One Should Be Alone At Christmas" is the slogan that began the annual Christmas Fellowship Dinner that is held every year on Christmas Day at the Troy/Montgomery Senior Center.  A great dinner of turkey, dressing and all the "fixings" is served to everyone attending.  This dinner is for anyone who is alone or lonely on Christmas Day. Thanks to the generous donations by area businesses for the food, treat bags that are given to all attendees and the many door prizes that are given out to add to the fun!
